What is the electric tailgate?
Hands-Free Tailgate Opening becomes convenient when carrying items that require placing them on the ground in order to free up your hands and push the remote button for tailgate opening. The new convenience feature uses two sensor strips placed on different planes in the bumper, somewhat similar to the Parking Distance Control Technology. The placement of the sensors makes it possible to identify the customer’s foot movement without any risk of confusing it, for example, with a ball rolling under the car.
Furthermore, to prevent unauthorized access to the car, the opening mechanism can only be activated if the control unit also identifies the car key.
With the increasing degree of intelligent cars, refitting the electric tailgate also seems to be part of the car owner’s life. Nowadays, most of the conversion methods we have seen are through the installation of hydraulic brackets and sensors in the original tailgate to achieve the opening and closing of the tailgate. To be honest, after the conversion, it is really much easier than manual opening, even with smart anti-clamping and other functions.
The working principle of the strut:
When the motor is not working, the resistance of the screw rod, the resistance of the motor gear box, the spring force and the gravity of the door form a balance torque to keep the door hovering at any position.
When the motor is working, the motor torque breaks the balance. According to the motor torque direction, the strut performs telescopic movement to drive the door to open and close.

In the design stage, the arrangement plan of the strut is proposed, and the arrangement of the strut is checked and analyzed. Optimize the design of the tailgate system's high temperature, low temperature, normal temperature opening and closing force characteristics, balance angle characteristics, elastic characteristics of the built-in spring, positive and negative slope environment and other factors, and output the design verification.

| Q. I have a short beeping sound when I connect power cable to the control box, is it normal? A. It is normal that the control module beeps when it connects to power the first time. |
